Synopsis:

“Who am I? For all intents and purposes, I am the nice guy; the loyal brother and decent citizen. I am quiet and non-confrontational. I am the brother nobody worries about and can always depend upon. To my family, I am the good one. However, that’s only what they see on the outside.” ~ Jeremy Evans

Outwardly, Jeremy Evans is a typical guy, the calmest of the Evans brothers. He’s obsessed with cars, enjoys the company of beautiful women, and is devoted to his family. Inwardly, however, Jeremy is a ticking time bomb. Torn between what’s right versus what’s wrong. When the attempted rape on Darcie occurs, Jeremy finally loses the battle within himself. The pure hatred for Sulfur Heights consumes him and escape is all he thinks about.

Three years later, he is secretly engrossed by the drug-infested underworld. Jeremy’s double life leads him on dark and sinister paths of drugs, violence and rage.

The Evans family is destroyed after Presley’s murder and consequently Jeremy’s arrest. He’s sent to prison where he’s forced to survive with the mistakes he’s made on his conscience. However, only one thought lingers. It consumes the years he spends locked in a cell. Retribution.

Cami Ryker used to have a picture perfect life. She was loved by her family and happy with her life until her brother’s sudden death tore her family apart. Cami is forced to care for her ailing mother and assume the responsibilities of a normal adult. However, when the bills are paid and her mother is tucked away for the night, Cami likes to cloud her mind in order to escape her daily struggles. Late one night, a stranger trolling the streets rescues her in a dark alley. The mysterious stranger will become one of the most important people in her life until the day he’s sent to prison.

Four years later, Jeremy is released and seeking redemption for his mistakes, but the betrayal is still thriving amongst the Evans family.

Will Jeremy finally find the solace within to gain the forgiveness from his family that he desperately craves? And is it possible for Jeremy to save those he loves and exonerate himself in the process?

DeAnna's Review

*5 Stars*

**This is the 5th book in this series. It is highly recommend that you read the first 4  books (Scarred Love, Tragic Love, Blind Love and Surviving Love) before reading this.**

This was one of those highly anticipated books for me. Jeremy's character has been sort of a mystery throughout the series, so I could not wait to read his story.

Redeemed Love is the 5th book in the Sulfur Heights Series. Throughout the series, small bits and pieces of Jeremy were revealed making us want to know more behind the quietest Evans brother. I could tell there was some inner struggle going on with him, but never did I imagine the depths of what he was struggling with. We knew from earlier books that Jeremy got into some things that caused some tragic events that ended up tearing his family apart and sends him to prison. This book explains what exactly led Jeremy to take the path he did. Jeremy has been one of my favorite characters since book one, Scarred Love. You could tell he was a very loving, caring and passionate person even though he never said much. He was also fiercely loyal to his family.

This book is told in two parts.

Part One- Before prison.
Jeremy was driven by a need to get his family out of Sulfur Heights. I would have never guessed the dark path Jeremy was on to try to accomplish this. The things he had done were just unbelievable. I was not expecting for him to have been into stuff that deep.

We also meet the love of his life, Cami. She is the one thing that keeps him grounded and from completely losing himself into the dark world he has immersed himself in. She's also the one person he really needs to stay away from.

Part Two- After Prison- Redemption
Jeremy is released from prison and ready to start over. He really has no where to go but home and he really does not want to face his family, but it has to be done. Of course, this isn't going to be some beautiful family reunion. The family is still harboring a lot of anger towards Jeremy. Jeremy's going to have to work hard to earn back the trust of his brothers. Especially Drake.

Jeremy also crosses paths with Cami. What will Jeremy do when he finds out something about Cami that affects him? Will he and Cami rekindle their relationship? Can Jeremy redeem himself to everyone he's hurt? You will have to read to find out!

Once again, M.S. Brannon did an excellent job on this novel. The writing was amazing and I experienced a wide range of emotions while reading it. There was so much to know and learn about Jeremy and I love that she split the book into two parts. It allowed us to see how much he changed from the man he was before prison to the man he was after prison. I personally think he has always been the same man. In Part One, he just made some bad choices for a good reason. He loves his family more than anything and was willing to do anything to take care of them. In Part Two, he's ready to start over and do things the right way. Deep down he's still the same Jeremy, just with some deep emotional scars. I really loved this book. This is one of my favorite series and I highly recommend this book (and series)! Just remember to read the first 4 books before you read this one.

About the Author:

M.S. Brannon was born and raised in the Midwest. She still resides there today with her wonderful husband and son. When she is not writing or reading, M.S. Brannon spends time with her family, watching movies, and discovering new music. She writes romance because she believes love and heartache is the rawest emotion one can experience.

"He says nothing as he shifts me to the side so he can get under the water. With his back to me, Jeremy bends down and tucks his head under the stream. He’s as motionless as a statue, and I can’t help wondering what’s going through his mind. I know he’ll talk when he’s ready, though; so all I can do is let him know that I will be there for him when the time comes.
I run my hands up his back, feeling the stress across his taut muscles. The pads of my fingers gently massage into his back and its then I really take notice of Jeremy’s skin. I’ve always been too distracted by his fine, muscular physique to see anything else. Now that I’m looking, what I’m seeing is tragic. His back is covered in scars. Most of them look old, yet some are recent. He’s had a painful life from the look of his back, and it seems to have always been that way. All that he’s ever known is pain."
