I loved this book!
Lily Pritchard is a college student suffering from terrible nightmares about the night her father died. Feeling guilty for his death has deeply affected her relationships with her mother and sisters. She fears they blame her. She feels like she doesn’t deserve to be happy so she rarely goes out socially and instead focuses on her studies.
Lily and her best friend, Jess, are in their final semester of college. On her way to the library one day, Lily runs right into a man that changes everything for her. Brandon Redgrave. This man is definite book boyfriend material! He’s everything a woman wants. Gorgeous, successful and loving. He also has a past that interferes with him forming relationships.
When Lily runs into Brandon she drops her cell phone. Brandon uses that as his ticket to get to know her. He returns her cell phone in a box, sitting outside her door, with a note basically telling her, he expects to hear from her in the next 24 hours. (Kind of creepy?) He signs it Intrigued & Enchanted. (OK. Maybe he’s not too creepy. Just interested. LOL!) Lily has no intentions in contacting him though. Jess thinks he’s hot and tries to convince Lily to give him a chance. Brandon and Lily end up planning a date which begins a beautiful relationship between the two. Of course their pasts have to creep in and try to ruin things. So what happens? Do they stick with each and try to conquer their pasts together or do they go their separate ways?
I was so impressed with this debut novel. Eva did a fantastic job developing the characters. The dialogue wasn’t cheesy and the book wasn’t raunchy. It was one of those love stories you will continue to think about after you finish reading. I am recommending this one!
About the Author:
I am a stay at home mother of two, wife to a wonderful hubby, and certified book addict. I studied English at university, gaining an honours degree in literature and linguistics. After straying so far from my education I was sucked back in to the world of reading by the illustrious FSOG. Two years later, and at least 200+ books later, with a story on the back burner I decided it was time to put my education to good use and write my first novel.I hope that everyone will enjoy reading Brandon and Lily’s journey as much as I have enjoyed writing it. There are currently plans for two further books in this series.
