Firstly let me just say I really REALLY loved this book thats why it is getting a 5* rating from me. When I read the blurb to this book I thought 'same old same old' but I was wrong, so wrong! It's tough to review this book without giving any spoilers so I will keep it to a minimum.

When the book starts out you see a young Ali Dawson-Pierce AKA Ali, she has strict parents who expect her to act and look a certain way. This causes Ali to do the complete oposite. Her parents expect her to eat well.. so she eats junk. Her parents expect her to dress respectable so she dresses in tatty jeans. You get my drift...

Stacie is Ali's best friend. Stacie has a brother who is trying his hardest to become a Roadie for a small time band, hoping to make it big. As a way of getting away from her parents and enjoying herself when Stacie and Bobby go out to bars to see these bands Ali will tag along. One band in particular has caughter her eye and the eye of Stacie's brother. Rolling Bridges. The lead singer in particular has caught ali's attenton but she will always stay in the shadows, she knows he will never look at her the way she wants him to. Stacie on the other hand throws herself at him and get rejected.

Continuing to go to Rolling Bridges concerts even after Stacie has long lost interest in them, Ali finally gets talking to Deklan. Deklan has noticed Ali but not for the reasons she was hoping, he has noticed she records the shows she goes to and uploads them to a YouTube channel. Deklan wants to send some demos to record companies to see if they have a chance at stardom. Even this small encounter leaves Ali breathing heavy and sweaty. How will she cope if Deklan ever took an interest in her? Surely that would never happen.

Fast forward a few years and Stacie & Ali have moved to New York for college. Ali has been disowned by her parents after she disobeys them and doesn't go to the college in which they want. So Ali and Stacie are in New York, Bobby is now the roadie for Rolling Stones and the girls travel to the venues in which the guys are playing. Yes you guessed the guys have made it big. One thing they always promised Ali was at every concert they ever do there will always be a ticket for her a friend waiting at the venue. Ali travels to concerts when she can. Between school and work Ali doesn't have much time but she will always be RB number one fan.

 

Let's talk Deklan Thomas for a moment. He is the definition of HOT. When he was first described with his long hair and tatty clothes I thought, lose the hair keep the clothes... well when they make it big Deklan does lose the hair, but he isn't the only person who has changed thier appearance.... Deklan only ever looked at Ali as RB number 1 fan, the girl that was always there before they made it big. One night they make a big annoucment and ask Ali to come up on stage to tell her thank you for always supporting them and being there from the start. When Ali sees the video playback from Stacie she cringes. Physically cringes. She has never looked at herself that way before but she is big... lik really big. With determination under her belt and the video to keep her strength up Ali decides its time to get fit.

 

With Ali's keep fit routine in full swing, Stacie & Ali try thier hand at yogo. Deklan is a big yogo fan so Ali thinks why not. After realising she hates yogo she tweets about it and well and behold someone else has something smart to say about the matter... these two get talking online, have been talking for a while and grow a really tight bond of friendship. They can't be anything more than they live on other ends of the Country.

 

Skips to the good bit ;) so... now Ali is hot, owns her own tatoo shop and is a well known name in the tatoo industry and pregnant... yup you heard me right... pregnant. A one night stand one night leaves her this way and she isn't sure how she feels about it... but she has to tell the babys father. Wouldn't be fair not to.

Deklan is known for his one night stands, never being seen with a women on his arm and never sleeping with the same women twice... would he remember sleeping with Ali... Yup another bomb shell for you...

So Ali has a choice to make.. does she tell him and have his fans thinking she is a money grabbing whore or should she just keep it to herself? After all Deklan hasn't seen Ali since her make over, she always avoids sitting in the seats they leave and swapping the tickets out with other people.

So Ali makes the trip to a RB concert and is determined to tell Deklan, when the time comes to reveal herself to Deklan that she is who he slept with that one fateful night Deklan is more than shocked. Deklan thinks she set him up but in all honesty, he came to her. He approached her and he can't deny that. Question is will Deklan do the good thing and stand by her for the baby? or will he be there finacially but not physically? Ali didn't want his money that isn't why she told him about the baby.

Will Deklan stay in the spot and support his Baby Momma or will he ditch her with a baby? Has he had enough time in the spot light to finally step away?

 

Finally. So as I loved the story and the characters, Deklan was hot in bed and out of it. Ali was a fiesty, beautiful young women. Both Ambitous and know what they want in life. The love these guys shared was beautiful and real. That being said Brandace Morrow has a great writing style, very different... in a good way. I enjoyed her style of writing and would love to see more from this Author. If you are looking for a light hearted read with a little bit of the good stuff this is the book for you. I know we all like a break from the full on sex books and this one did hit the spot for me. The sex scenes are all out Rockstar as you would expect and the story is just beautiful. a beautful story beautifully written.
