Synopsis:

This is a must read!!! I love Eva Simone more with every book she writes! This is Eva’s second book and is Simon and Jess’s story. We were introduced to them in Intrigued and Enchanted. Simon is Brandon’s best friend and Jess is Lily’s best friend so we do hear a little from Brandon and Lily as well in this book.

Jess and Simon first meet and her friend Paul’s restaurant opening. Their immediate attraction towards each other was obvious. Simon has a sort of rugged personality. He’s kind of rough, fiercely passionate and above all, he is always real. To me his character is very relatable. Pretty close to the perfect man. He’s also completely in love with Jess.
“I know I’m going to sound like a p**** for saying it, and I already hate myself for thinking it, but it can’t be just sex with Jess. I want more.”
He tries so hard to be there for her, to be everything that she wants and needs, but she’s just not willing to let him in completely.
Jess is very insecure and has serious trust issues when it comes to men, thanks to her relationship with her ex, Gavin. He really did a number on her, which will be explained in the book. Everyone is trying to convince Jess that it’s ok to give Simon and chance, but she just can’t let go and completely trust him even though he has given her no reason not to.
“...I’m saying this because I love you. I don’t want you to miss out on a great guy because of that douchebag, Gavin.”
These insecurities of hers cause major problems in her relationship with Simon and also comes with some major consequences. She basically puts herself and Simon through hell trying not to give her heart to a man that truly loves her.
Will Jess ever be able to come to terms with her issues and give Simon a fair chance? Will she continue to push him away and eventually lose him for good? You will have to read to find out!
Eva really stepped up her game with this book. I was really impressed with her debut, but this book just had so much more. The writing is amazing and despite all the drama, the storyline is really beautiful. I’m highly recommending this book and cannot wait to read more from her!!
About the Author:
Simone is a stay at home mother of two, wife to a wonderful hubby, and certified book addict! She studied English at university, gaining an honours degree in literature and linguistics. She rekindled her love affair with reading 4 years ago and hasn’t looked back since.
At least 300 books later, with a story on the back burner she decided it was time to put her education to good use and write her first novel. Intrigued and Enchanted is the first book in The Enchanted Series and first released on May 5th 2014 to great reviews. Eva has been overwhelmed by the love and support that she has received from bloggers and her readers. Book 2 in the series, Enchanted and Desired, is due to release September 30th. With a third book planned in the series, Eva decided it was time to give Intrigued and Enchanted a revamp, and release on paperback.
