Synopsis.

Ever since Mackenzie Duncan watched her skin knit together after being ripped apart by a blood thirsty Werewolf, her life has been anything but normal. After being part of a pack with more secrets than the FBI, Mackenzie left and tried not to look back. Her old pack leader Margaret, a Royal wolf hungry to regain the throne and rule over all the world’s Werewolves, made that impossible. Figuring out who to trust was full of heart break, but moving forward left her with a clear path ahead.

After Mackenzie found out that she, too, is part of the Royal blood line and that she had inadvertently endangered every pack she came into contact with, she feels that it is her duty to help stop Margaret at all costs before any more blood is shed or another life is lost.

Despite traveling the world with Liam, the man she loves, her life is in danger at every turn in her hunt for other Werewolves willing to stand against Margaret. Who better to fight then the blood line that shunned the role of power centuries ago?
Bloody battles surround her at every turn and when Mackenzie thinks all is lost, she has to find a way to embrace her past and accept her future

SJ's Review.

I'm not even sure where to start with The Uprising! I have loved this series from this very beginning and this book broke my heart. I was so excited that I got the next instalment but I'm gutted its over :( no more Mackenzie, Liam or Geoff!!! What will I do now?!

So as we know Geoff was is Margarets son... He was a snitch but he was also in love with Mackenzie...
Margaret is trying to take over the Were world to become 'Queen' as such. She doesn't want to hide any longer she wants to be able to be free go where she wants and snack on humans if she wants.

So the uprising sees Liam & Mac continue their journey to find packs that Margaret hasn't taken over with her lies. They are looking for packs to stop Margaret and her pack, they want to remain hidden and in individual packs they don't want to be lead by her or anyone else! They want to keep humans safe!

You find a lot out about Margaret's family line, and Mac's family. As we know Mac is actually of Royal were bloody line but what line does she follow? There is a lot of be told about the line in which Mackenzie is from and little do they know there is ALOT they don't know... Not even her Father or Margaret's know the half of it!

Liam & Mac set off across Europe in search of help, surprised by what help they do find they return home to prepare for battle! With everyone in the loop on what Margaret is up to and what the plan of action is Mac changes her plan of action and plans to strike before they can be striked! Will this end how she assumed or are they walking into there own death match?

We all know Mac had a tough decision trying to decide between Geoff & Liam. Liam obviously won her heart but what will happen when she comes face to face with Geoff? Geoff is going to fight for his Mother, he is her protector but who will kill who? As much as Geoff hurt Mackenzie she still cares and has love for him. How could age possibly kill him?

When secrets are spilled and lies unraveled will Margarets pack still stand strong?
Will Geoff pretext his Mother or the girl he feel in love with in the very first book?
Will Mac finally 'mate' with someone? Will it be Liam or Geoff?
Who will survive & who will die fighting for their leader?

The Uprising was a beautiful end to the most amazing series! I'm gutted its over but Adrianne James definitely did the series justice, I cried like a big baby at parts of this book & it just physically and emotionally drained me. This series as a whole gets a whole 5* rating from me and this book also! It will be one of my go to series for a reread that for sure!
