Becca Langer was not a normal girl, she didn't have normal girl problems. For most of her life, she’s had to take care of herself, her younger brother Chad, and her drunk mother. She’s lived under the shadow of what her father did when she was ten years old. Forever branded by his actions.

College was her escape, she could get away and finally live. Her dream was to make it in the New York Ballet Company one day. That for her meant a long road full of hard work and dedication. She didn't have time for distractions, and Levi Klein was definitely a distraction.

Will Levi be able to crack through her tough exterior and really see the wounded soul underneath? Becca needs to be loved, but the question is, will she let Levi love her?

Synopsis.

SJ's Review.

My Oh My.  Holy hell this book. A true love story with so much power yet not to overpowering. I absoulutely LOVED it, the best book I had read in ages. I loved these characters. I cried along, laughed along and hurt along with these characters.

Becca. Wow this girl has been dealt a shit hand. When she was just ten years old her father killed her younger sister right in front of her eyes, this then lead her mum to drink more heavily, leaving Becca to deal with her younger brother Brad. Brad looks up to Becca and it was he who convinced her to live her life. She went off to college with a lot of guilt on her shoulders, worry in her heart and a past from hell. Could this girl who has been forced to grow up much faster than any child should have be able to live the life in which a teenage girl should live in college? Boys, parties, friends?

Enter Levi. Becca wants to concerntrate on college and nothing else. She wants to get on and be able to provide for her brother. He shouldn't have to worry he is only fifteen years old.  Levi. Levi is sexy, confident and stalker-ish ;) Okay maybe not a creepy kind of stalker but I want to date you and I'm not going anywhere until you agree kind of stalker. Right from the beginning you could tell Becca wouldn't be able to resist Levi for too long and when she finally pulls her head out of her books she realises she should give him a chance. At the end of the day she has always lived her life for her brother never for herself. Levi turns out to be Becca's knight in shinning armour when Chad calls at some crazy time in the morning stating he had bee arrested and his mum wouldn't bail him out.

Becca can't believe anyone would love her the way Levi does. She doesn't think she deserves that love. She has never known love, only that of her brother.

"How can you love me when I'm so broken inside? My heart is shattered into so many pieces. I can't even begin to scrap them all together."

Becca life goes from strength to strength until it all comes down on top of her when she can't take the leap and tell Levi how she feels. Will he walk away and live the life he deserves with someone who loves him or will he keep dangling his heart in front of Becca until she takes the bait and grabs his heart with both hands, giving hers to him in return? Surely there is only so long a guy can wait?

Becca has a few rough months and ballet is her escape. Ballet is her life aside from her brother. Has she got room in her heart for Levi aswell? Levi is deeply hoping Becca will soon realise she loves him as much as he loves her but by the time she does it is far to late and Levi has moved on. This breaks my heart. Levi deserves to be happy and maybe Becca realised it to late but is in love with Levi, not just Levi but his whloe family. After all they had been there for her and Brad when she needed them the most.

There is a letter in this book and be warned it will break your heart. It broke mine. Tore it in two. This book was a little close to home in parts but that's what made it all the more perfect. You can see someone can hurt and hurt and still come out of it the other side in one piece.

Will Levi and Becca have a happy reunion? During their time apart Levi and Becca stumble across eachother many times and each time it is harder for Becca. Upon all that Becca has some heartbreaking news and ontop of everything else how much more can she take?

"I love you however you are. Broken, fixed, empty, whole. I love you, all of you." He dropped the bag and took me in his arms. The kiss took me by surprise, the heat behind it stole my breath.

There is alot to work through for Becca and Brad and also for Levi but can they all get the happy ending they deserve? I loved these characters and this book! The writting style was great and the plot was awesome. I hurt when these guys broke up but I understood why Levi had to do what he did.

Hold on tight it is a very bumpy ride and not to mention the epilogue but holy cow. This broke me. I was a blubbering mess. From the last chapter to the end of the Epilogue I was done for. When a book can revoke you to tears thats when you know the author got you good. Complete 5* read. Jessica Gibson you ROCK!!!
