Synopsis.

Since the beginning of time there have been stories of demons and tales of darkness; creatures that stalk our dreams. Beings we pray in reality will never touch us. It is easily forgotten that evil can be veiled by breathtaking beauty. After all, few things in this world are truly as they seem.

Brooke Davis was well aware that people can pretend to be someone they are not. She'd had several life experiences that had taught her that. When she met Gavin Hunter she thought she knew exactly what kind of man he was - but she couldn't have been more mistaken in her assumption.

Gavin Hunter was successful, dominate, and had an innate weakness for women. A weakness that if not controlled could lead to a dangerous attraction. To make certain that he remained in control he never pursued an innocent mortal. Until Brooke. The temptation she posed to him was a sin he could not deny, a pleasure he wanted to own. His desire for Brooke possessed him.

Brooke and Gavin quickly became entangled within a passionate love founded on deceptions. Not even the darkness could keep his secrets hidden forever, for it was only a matter of time before Gavin’s past would try to tear their love apart.

Prophecies can rarely be changed, fate seldom turns, and Brooke would soon find herself clinging to sins most would run from.

There was no escape. She had been bound the moment that he fell

On this page there is multiple reviews and an awesome interview with the lady herself.

Kate's Review.

I was very kindly given the opportunity to Beta read an ARC of this book.

Bound to the Fallen is about a fallen angel called Gavin and a mortal named Brooke. Gavin is happy to coast through his existence never wanting or needing love... that is until he meets Brooke.

The book starts with a look into Gavin's back story and how he becomes a fallen angel. He's an angel sent to watch over mankind and is tempted by a mortal woman, thus damning himself and others to a life of darkness. Oh boy is that a great start to the book. It really draws you in and makes you want to read on.

Chapter one brings us straight to present day and we meet Brooklyn Davis (Brooke) at her Graduation. She seems like a typical young woman, happy and fun-loving but we soon learn she has some trust issues and a serious dislike of Doctors, thanks to her father, a reknown Brain Surgeon with a wandering eye. She is desperate to get out into the world on her own and away from the life her father wants for her (to go to medical school) so she embarks on finding her own career and is offered a job as a Research Co-ordinator at a Local hospital where she meets Dr Gavin Hunter, and she realises her idea and opinions are about to be tested.

Gavin is every woman's fantasy - great looking, long wavy hair, ripped, endless green eyes, tanned skin and English and for the most part seemingly uninterested in Brooke, forcing her to admire him from afar, until they attend a conference together in Boston. From this point on all hell breaks loose and they are drawn into an intense passionate Sexual relationship.

Bound to the Fallen is a tale of forbidden love, betrayal and sacrifice. it will make your heart both leap into your throat and sing. Its a wild ride and I loved every minute of it. I thoroughly recommend it. A 5 star book from a very talented lady.

Interview with the Author.

So.. on Tuesday night I sat down with my laptop to interview the fabulous Stevie J. Cole. I was pretty excited about this having recently read Bound to the Fallen.

Upon opening my conversation and telling Stevie I was ready, when I was greeted by "hang on... I just had a child bite another one BRB"

This made me chuckle and think 'this is going to be fun' let me tell you, boy I was right, I had so much fun chatting with this lovely lady...

Aside from the fact she hasn't met Kellan Kyle & has never read Fifty Shades, Stevie is pretty damn cool.

Below you will find our chat.

My chat is in white & Stevie is in red... because as you'll see, she's a saucy one LOL

ENJOY!!

Hey Stevie, thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to sit and talk with me. How are you today?

I'm doing great! Just taking a break from writing. How are you?

All good here, pretty excited to be talking with you.

Speaking of writing, what are you working on? *please says gavin*

Actually... I am working on Gavin... love me some Gavin

*EKKKKKK* Sorry excuse my fan girl moment.

Speaking of Gavin, where did the idea of the story come from? like what were you doing when you thought of this story? these characters?

Oh, wow...It actually started out as a comedy.

There's one character in there that served as a cathartic release... and then somehow Gavin came in the picture and it just went all kinds of crazy from there.

I've always loved creepy, vampire stuff... but wanted to do something a little different which is where the entire idea of what Gavin is came from.

I love what Gavin is, he's different! In book two will we find out more of what Gavin is?

Just wait until book two and the novella...

The novella will go over what he is, how he was made and all that stuff.

Novella? Your telling me there is going to be two more books about the Sexy Dr Gavin?

Any ideas down yet, for what you will do once your done with Gavin's story?

Also with the novella, how will that be avalible?

Yes, I'm almost finished with the novella (my editor will kill me) and then I'll start back on book two.

There will probably be several more books.

Oh, I don't want to think about being done with him. I love these characters...

I'm going to do the novella (for free) put it on amazon and smashwords.

*SEVERAL!!!! *excuses herself* EEEKKKKKKKKKKK *ok im good*

Do we have a title yet for Book 2? or is that top secret?

GAVIN'S addictive... he has a lot he wants me to say and, trust me, this gets deep. I'm still trying to think of the title for the novella, but the title for book two will be Bound to Prophecy.

Im so excited to read book two, because I want to see where Brooke & Gavin end up.

The end of Bound to the Fallen for me was a cliff hanger! i'm an eager beaver and CAN NOT wait for the next installment.

On the other hand the novella seems pretty damn exciting also, as it will be interesting to see where Gavin came from.

Yeah, I tried really hard to not make it a cliff hanger, but that was really the only good stopping point. I'm excited about both of the books!!!

I agree, perfect place to finish Bound to the Fallen, anything after that point would've been a major cliff hanger.

Are any of the characters in Bound to the Fallen, based on you or anyone in your life?

Oh, there are bits and pieces of many people in those characters. Dan... ugh...

OK lets talk about Dan for a moment. Was he meant to annoy the hell out of me as much as he did?

(I do hope the person he is based on doesn't see this interview *awkward*)

Oh, yes... he's a total creeper.

If the person who I got some of his nasty little quirks from sees this... there's a problem and we should probably notify the authorities.

Send Gavin...

DONE! Dr Gavin to the rescue..

LOL OHHHH so basically if i don't hear from you for a week or so i should inform someone..LOL

Dan was one of these people, at the beginning I thought he was just being a nice guy. As the book goes on he gets more and more on my tits... but im sure he would like that...

Yes, please send help my way! Yes, that is a line you definitely wouldn't want to say that to Dan.

Lets get back to Gavin for a second, where did you think up the name? Was it a name you've always liked?

you know, that mouth song... Bush.. the lead singer is Gavin Rossdale... lol. Hottness...

So is he where you got Gavin's name from?

uh.. maybe. I was OBSESSED with that man when I was 14 - 21. Love the  name and think it sounds very British... also, the meaning of it (white hawk of battle)

I met him and I'm not going to lie, it was hard not to throw myself on him and hump him... he's my hall pass

So what made you decide to make Gavin British?

You guys have that amazing accent I adore

My husband told me I wasn't allowed to go to England by myself because he knows I'd cheat on him

So basically you just love our accent?

OMG... you have no idea

Sex for my ears

Aside from Gavin who is your favourite character in the book?

I was a big fan of Brooke, as naive as she was, it worked. 'No Doctor's' said no female EVER!!!

I like all of them (of course) but I adore Constance. She is hilarious!

Brooke has some issues, but we'll forgive her for them.

Book two will throw you for a loop... there's quite the twist there.

OMG Contance was brilliant, she reminded me a lot of my best mate!

Of course Brooke has issues, and of course we forgive her.At the end of the day she made the right choice

NOOOO dont tell me about twists, I can't take it! Can I have book two now...Please?! *grins cheekily*

As soon as I'm done with it... you shall have it

YIPEEEE *high five*

As a first time writer, how did you find your were accepted by the public?

Well, I'm still very new to this... but so far it's not been as scary as I'd anticipated. All the people I've met and been working with are amazing! It really has been an awesome experience.

Now, ask me that once my mother-in-law reads the book...if she survives to the end of it.

NOWAY! I will not let my mum read anything I have read, she would then try talking about it... could you imagine having a chat with your mum about fifty shades of grey  Awkward

Confession time... I've not read 50.

That's fine, not my favourite book *turns a few pages and changes a few questions*

but yes you get my idea... smutty, full of sex.. imagine discussing that with your mother in law...

no thank you!

Being an author, i guess your a reader also? if so what is your favourite book and or author?

That's really hard. My answer is probably so generic, but I think my absolute favorite thing I've ever read was Romeo and Juliet. Very macabre and the ending is so raw and unlike the traditional love story. I love angst.

I also love American Nights by Jim Morrison and My Booky Wook by Russell Brand... lol

not what you expected, huh?

I haven't actually read Romeo & Juliet *hides* I know as a classic that is quite bad BUT in my defence I only really started reading when Twilight was released on DVD... now you wont see me without a book or looking at books..

NO if im honest not what i expected at all. As a paranormal writer i thought you would've been into reading the same?

My favorite movie growing up was Interview with a Vampire

does that count?

Not heard of that one, maybe im too young ;)

It's brilliant!

I'll keep a look out for that one.

If bound to the fallen was picked up for a movie, who do you see playing Gavin?

oh, how can you ask me that? He's not an actor, but Mario Blanco is a model that looks

exactly how I imagine Gavin looking.

I may have to go google him.

When i was reading, dont hate me but i imagined Russel Brand, just not as scruffy LOL

OMG... I don't hate you at all. I'm obsessed with him. I met him and thought I was going to die.

He could do it...

LOL Russel Brand kills me but creeps me out at the same time lol...

I even think i would cross the road if i saw him coming towards me

No way. He's totally nice. So freaking nice and genuine. Great, great guy. No need to be afraid of him...

I mean the worst he could do is bite you, right?

Seriously would say, out of the celebrities I've met Russel is the nicest.

I'll be sure to pass that on when he is biting me

Do you have a song that comes to mind when you think of Gavin & Bound to the Fallen?

I have two: Flesh by Simon Curtis and  Mouth (Stingray version) by Bush.

That lead singer from Bush has the sexiest voice...

So stepping away from books. What do you do when your not writing?

I actually work in the Cancer Center at a local hospital, and I have two little girls that keep me very, very busy!

WOW, you are a busy lady. An inspiration! So basically your an author, a damn good artist, and there to put a smile on sick peoples fances! Lady can you get any better! Like serious fan girl here!

Your children keep you busy... by biting eachother? LOL.

LOL...you're making me blush...

and biting always makes things better...

Before I move on to the quick fire, any chance of a teaser from the Novella ;)

About the Author.

Oh, so many things I could say... but I'll behave.

I grew up in the south listening to a ton of grunge rock. I was forced to pursue an "acceptable profession" by my parents. They refused to let me major in creative writing or theater because they were not "reliable professions".

When I hit 30 I decided to start a bucket list and publishing a book was on the top (followed shortly by meeting a certain celebrity).

So, here I am with my first novel and working on the second one. The journey of writing Bound to the Fallen has been amazing and allowed me to meet many wonderful individuals.

I hope if you read my work that you will enjoy it. After all, writing is the most amazing magic trick of all... it puts the reader in the mind of the writer (kind of creepy if you think about it).

I hope you love my little world as much as I do.

Xx- Stevie J
