Synopsis for Crowns Chance at Love.

Sabrina Miller lives in darkness. Having lost the love of her life just three years ago, she is content to live her life in muted grey just so she doesn’t have to feel. As a single mother of three she immerses herself in her career and daily routine all while letting her inner light extinguish.

One Tuesday morning, a chance encounter with Michael Crown threatens to break down all of the barriers she’s worked so hard to build around her. But who really Is Michael Crown?

Despite his struggles with his own darkness, Michael Crown finds himself at a crossroads with Sabrina. He has a chance to completely let his guard down and let love in, but it may come at the cost of losing the only woman he’s ever really ever loved. Can he find the redemption he so desperately needs and let Sabrina Miller in?

First Impressions

So far I am loving this book and with each page I read I love it more.

I'm currently at 10% and jotting down my first impressions. Basically

my thoughts right now are that this book is going to be fab. I have my

suspicions as to where this is heading but we will see.

Sabrina lost her husband in a car crash involving a drunk drinker, he

was killed instantly leaving Sabrina heartbroken and with three

children to explain why their Daddy would never be coming home

again.

Sabrina meets Mike 3 and a half years after Sean was killed and the

instantaneous attraction is so obvious, it virtually sizzles.

Will Mr Michael Crown be able to bring Sabrina back to life?

Will he be the Father figure that Mark, Penny & Chris are missing?

Final Review

I've been left well and truly with a headache, this book is about a nine hour read and I read it in one sitting, it was a page turner, wanting to see where Mike & Sabrina would go next, wanting to see when the big bombshell would drop.
The kids take to Mike like a duck to water, Chris being the youngest never really knew his Daddy so for him it isn't a big deal what Mike is now around. Mark on the other hand was old enough to know, love & miss his Dad, so is a little more apprehensive about him, but he can see the smile that radiates from his Mum since Mike came crashing into her life.

Nick. Nick is a complete other story, my first impressions were that Nick & Sabrina would be there ones to end up together but I was super wrong, they are no more than brother & sister to one another. It would almost be wrong for them to end up as an item. He cares for Sabrina & the children as his own and would do anything to see them well & happy. This being said, in the back of my head I was rooting for him.

All the characters in this book were loveable.

Mike he was one big teddy bear, he loved with his whole heart, even when he wasn't thinking straight he thought he knew what he had to do for the best even if that meant breaking his own heart. He's a stubborn old soul!

Sabrina. She broken, she is a shattered mess. Ever since Sean left that morning the 'light' she once had left her, that was until Mike came barrelling into her life & knocked her on her arse, but she knew at the end of it all she had to keep her kids in mind, it didn't matter what she wanted she had to put them first. She was super glad when she realised all three children accepted Mike.

Nick, like I said he was the big bad brother you don't want to upset, he will stomp on your for hurting Sabrina or the children, they had had enough hurt in their lives to last a lifetime.

The Parents.

Sabrina's parents had seen her crumbles & seen the same light turn off the moment Sean had died as what her friend did. Sabrina was living for her kids not herself, she was living in a world of work & kids hobbies to get her through. They were glad when Mike came into her life, that put a spring back in her step. All parents ever want if for their kids to me happy, and live the life they deserve.

Mikes Parents. Urgh! His Mum is vile, not only vile but sneaky & nasty. She was like one of the playground bullys who everyone thinks is sweet and innocent but as soon as your back is turnt she is lashing her tongue. Mike's Dad on the other hand was a gentle old soul, he was a gentleman & Sabrina knew just where Mike got his manners and looks from.

It wasn't just these guys because Sabrina had a small but close group around her, they all cared for her & the kids as if they were one in the same.

When Mike & Sabrina hit a rocky patch its her friend who are there for her to make her see sense, to make her think about what she was doing & it is the most unlikely friend of all that urges to hear Mike out. Nick. Nick is a secret fan of Mike & Sabrina, he's a big softy really.

Will all be good with Mike & Sabrina when the truth comes out?
When Sabrina gets the threat of her life will Mike stand & fight with her or run?
Will they get the HEA they deserve & fought so hard for or will one of them tumble at the final hurdle?

My overall rating for this book is 4.5 stars, the only reason for the down marking but half a star was because it can do with some editing, if I find mistakes I feel like I can't give a book the full 5 stars!

I look forward to reading more work from this Author.

About the Author Mayra Statham.

Hey thanks for liking my author page!
I have always had an addiction to books. Once upon a time I wrote one, but was easily discouraged.
Today is a new day and have decided to put my work out there.
My first series is called 6 degrees of separation... basing it on the theory where we are all connected, even if at the moment we might now know it, later down the road we see it.

The first book of the series is Crown's Chance at Love.
This is Sabrina Miller & Michael Crown's story. A story about second and sometimes even third chances, because everyone deserves love.

Etched

Synopsis for Etched in Stone.

One look, one moment and I was completely defenseless.
One touch, one embrace and I was utterly consumed.
One kiss, one caress and that's all it took.

One look and thirty-four year old Parker Stone knew his life would never be the same. She called to him unlike anything ever had in his life, sparking an unbridled desire and captivating him completely.

One touch and twenty-eight year old Liz Del Rio wasn’t sure she’d be able to walk away. Experiencing a life full of disappointment and heartache, she wasn't looking for a relationship, let alone love and all the risks that came with it. Every time life had taught her the same lesson: not to let people in because they always leave and when they leave, it leaves scars upon your soul.

One kiss sealed their fate and they knew they would never be able to live without one another.

.Liz and Parker embed themselves into each other's world. Passion burns bright and fast, but what happens when your lives are connected in ways you could have never imagined?

Secrets from Liz's past threaten to break not only what they have, but who she is as they learn that once love is etched in stone nothing can make it crumble.

First Impressions

Firstly. Jake is not as bad as I thought him up to be, I’m rooting for him & Liz, I can tell he has guilt over what he did to her & he wants to make it up to her, but is Liz likely to open up to him & let him explain?
Is Liz even going to give him a chance to speak?
Or Parker for that matter, Liz strikes me as someone that has managed on her own for so long, she doesn’t need a man in her life.

Final Review

Parker….

Jake….

Ahhh as much as I should hate Jake for how he was to Sabrina as a Brother & to Liz as a ‘other half’ I love him. He is a darling, such a sweetheart!

BUT Parker….

Parker is any women dream come true, if not more. The guy is hot, sensitive, sexually experienced & an all round good guy.

Parker & Liz have both been burnt by Jake, both in different ways but they have both felt the devastation Jake leaves in his wake. I would like to say this is what bounds these two together but its not. These two have an instant connection, an instant attraction.

Jake & Parker have a strong dislike for eachother so it is pretty funny when each guy is puffing their chests for her attention & affection but Jake had his chance and blew it. Can Liz open up enough to let Parker in or is he wasting his time?

As we know nothing & I mean NOTHING can go smoothly without a hitch somewhere but the bump in the road that Liz & Parker have coming I did not see… Every has a past they would rather forget but Liz more than some. She was a stripper at Shine and when that past comes back to bite her in the arse will Parker understand and stand by her side or will he run?

Liz has no family left so when she is faced with the ultimate nightmare its her girls & Matt she turns to after pushing Parker away. Its for the best right?
Maybe Liz doesn’t actually know what is best for her exactly.

The characters in this book are fab, some are linked from Book 1 in the series ‘Crown’s chance at Love’ & some are nearly introduced but all are fab… Liz’s girls are more a family to her than she has ever actually known, having lost her parents young she has never had anyone who meant as much to her as her girls do.
Jake was mentioned briefly in ‘Crown’s Chance at Love’ but he is introduced ALOT more in Etched in Stone & I’m glad he was not as much of an arse as he came across as in Crowns book, he was actually one of my favourite characters and I was rooting for him to get the HEA he deserved whether it be with Liz or someone else, because you could see he knew what he did to Liz was wrong and he wanted to make it up to her.

Etched in Stone made me feel a range of different emotions. I went from happy, to sad, to scared, to nervous, it was like an emotional rollercoaster ride throwing me to and throw, pulling me this way then that way. The relationship between Liz & Parker was one crazy themepark ride, they’re up then down, right then left, happy then sad. Love then hate. I have never read a love story so lifelike that, from past to present these guys are linked one way or another.

Mayra is a fabulous writer. The book needs a little editing but the writing in general is great, I like her style, i like the way she portrays a story & I like how the book is never just told from one or two point of views, but could be another of different people telling the story, mainly it is the two lead characters but now & again you’ll get a different point of view and I like that! I will be watching out for more of her work for surAhhh as much as I should hate Jake for how he was to Sabrina as a Brother & to Liz as a ‘other half’ I love him. He is a darling, such a sweetheart!
