SJ's Review.

Argh... I'm not even sure on where to start with this awesome book!
Absolutely bloody fantastic. I love how Kate switched up the roles with the characters, the writing style,
the general story and the emotions it put through. I started this book at 9pm thinking i'll read a little and then head to bed....
No chance, I got to bed at 3am in the end after sitting up and reading until the book was finished! I cried so hard while reading this book and then my heart would be so full the next. I have so much love for this book and this author. This is my new faourite book of 2014 so far!!!

I apologise in advance for the gushing I am more than likely to end up doing about this fabulous read!

So the beginning see's Laura Sedgwick AKA Laurs hit with a frisbee while trying to get some sleep in the park... yup shes sleeping in the park because she just walked out and left her boyfriend of two years when she found him passed out from drugs and a naked chick on the couch, really she was just looking for an excuse to leave and this was it. She never loved him, she loved the drugs and the how easy it was to be with him.

"Look I'm really sorry.. Uh, What's your name?"

"Mad bitch with a busted lip."

Laura works in a bar, drinks, takes drugs and loves music. Her parents didn't want her to be like this.. no parent would but Laura was expected to be a Barbie type girl. She was meant to be well educated with a high paying job, a house with a white pickett fence, a husband and a family all set out for her. She didn't want to be like that. She wanted to live each day as it came, so that's what she does. Laura only has Dave, Dave is the only family she has after her parents didn't like the route her life was taking. Laura didn't expect to be attracted to a guy like the girl her momma wanted her to be.

Queue Seth Whitaker AKA Ken Barbie. Seth gives Laura a fat lip... no he isn't a women beater he was throwing a frisbee and Laura happened to be in the frisbees line of play. Seth is a straight laced, well educated, well dressed guy. Laura on the other hand lives her life day by day, she goes to work, she goes to parties, she drinks, she takes drugs and she enjoys life. I loved this concept. Any other book is good guy meets bad guy, falls in love and falls out of her good girl ways not Room 212, this book throw caution to the wind and swicthes up the roles. So Seth & Laura start spenidng more & more time together and the more time they spend together the deeper you can see them falling for eachother, but Seth isn't telling Laura everything, and it takes Laura to overhear a conversation for her to find out Laura isn't the only female in Seth's life. Does Seth really like Laura as much as it seems? Is Laura marriage material? The answer is nope but Rebecca is. Rebecca is Seth's ex and they are on a break or as Rebecca would say 'Seth is taking time to slumb it for a while.' How long will Seth stick around? Will his feeling finally win out and cause him to choose Laura over Rebecca?

"I'm a firm believer that if you want something, you have to make it happen." - Seth

Laura isn't short of attention from any male, she is a hot female with a fiesty attitude to go with it. Enough said. Seth and Laura share some pretty hot nights of passion. The love these two have for eachother she can see it building with every page you read but is love really enough? Laura isn't the girl that Seth is meant too marry but should you really do what is expected when the heart involved? Surely you should marry who you love not just who fits in your life. When Seth finally makes his choice to leave Laura for Rebecca is it the worst decision he has ever made? Laura promised never to fall in love or get married but with Seth she saw that furture. Can she get back her man? Should she stay and fight for him? Or leave him with Barbie and let him have the happily ever after he always wanted?

After months of dealing with her broken heart and not seeing Seth, Laura goes to a New Years Eve party where her brother is DJ'in. Who does she see? Yup you guessed it... Seth.. in a liplock with Rebecca. All of this is just to raw for Laura. It wasn't so long ago she had her heart ripped out and stomped on by this guy and now here he was at a party he knew she would be at... with him future wife? Hmmmmm.. BASTARD! Laura gets back at him the only way she knows how.... Paul. Poor Paul. When Seth realises what has happened between Laura and Paulhe claims he hates Laura and will never get back with her now. This is the last straw for Laura. She broken, had her heart ripped out
and stomped on more than once by this guy. Goodbye Dallas.

Fast forward a 14 years and you get a well balanced Laura running her own motel. She will never love anyone like she loved Seth... still loves Seth. How is he? Did he marry Rebbeca? Does he have children? Well she doesn't have to think to hard because she can ask him herself. He just walked into her motel, and he's there to stay for 6 months... 6 long months. Sparks instantly fly as you know they would. After a catch up of past, present, wifes, husbands, children and everything inbetween a few truths are stated between these two. Is it what Laura has waited all these years to hear? or will she be left with her heart broken once again?

Will Laura and Seth finally get the happily ever after they deserve? Will Laura return to Dallas? Will she finally get the man of her dreams? Will Seth walk away from his life in Dallas to presue his dream of being with the one women he always loved? Build a family together?

Argh I was routing for Laura & Seth throughout the book, these guys just belonged together, sparks flew when they were together in a room. The connection these guys have makes the world turn. They fit together like two pieces of a puzzle but sometimes meant to be was not made to be. I cried big ugly, snotty tears and miltiple times in this book sometimes happy tears, sometimes heartbroken tears. When Laura had her heart broken I cried so hard, not only for her but for Seth also. He had to make the biggest decision of his life and you could tell it was just as hard from him as it was for Laura.

"Only a few people in this world get a chance to spend their life with their first love."

All in all as I said at the beginning, this is my favoruite book of 2014 so far, and iv read alot of books. I'm giving this book 5 stars... but that's only because I can't give anymore than 5!! The Author Kate has a great writing style. She has the perfect set up of writing, not to much sex, not to much drama, it just felt realistic. I for one cannot wait to read more from this author. Speaking of which I might make Titan my next read, but more so I cannot wait for Dave's story to be realeased!! More of the characters I already loved from Room 212. Speaking of which the title of this book was so original 'Room 212' the significance of this title was superb, Seth was such a sweetheart. Where do I get one? That being said, I'm babbling just like I said I would.. so on that note. I'll wrap it up by saying... THANK YOU KATE you just made my top 5 author list!
