I was warned in advance about the formatting of this book and honestly if i hadn't have been warned I would've given it less stars. I found it so hard reading this book because of the formatting but when I finnaly just stopped my moaning and got on a read it I LOVED IT!!!

 

Audree has loved Gavin as long as she can remember but she was only ever going to be his best friends little sister. Well so she thought...

 

Gavin had always loved Audree but he was always warned off by her bigger brother!

 

Having grown up together along with Clint and Travis. Audree has always been surrounded by overprotective male figures and she has also been taught how to hold her own. One thing she hasn;t been taught how to long after is her heart, and everytime Gavin leaves it breaks Audree's heart a little more each time.

 

Gavin loves Audree but is scared to lose Clint or Clint and Audree if things don't work out. Clint has always warned Gavin off Audree because he believes Gavin is much like himself a player. He thinks he sleeps around just like Travis and Clint do. Little does he know but Gavin is nothing like these two. He only has eyes for one girl... Audree!

 

The book starts off when Audree, Clint and Gavin are very young, and wit each chapter they get a few years old. Even before it jumps to present day you can see how Audree is pulled to Gavin but I'm not sure you can tell the love Gavin has for Audree... that is until she day he leaves when he can;t seem to leave without giving her a goodbye kiss. Okay I say you can't tell how he feels, that was wrong. You just can't tell if he's treating her the way he is because he see's her a little sister.

 

So fast forward a few years and Audree has a child.... A daughter. My first thought was OMG they had a baby.... no I was wrong. Audree has a baby with some other guy. A guy she slept with just the once. Luckily for Gavin Audree and the father never made it a relationship so Gavin and Audree kind of silently agree that they will have a kind of friends with benefits relationship. When Gavin comes to town Audree and Gavin will sleep with eachother but expect nothing more. How long can this arrangment continue before Audree can't deal with just sex without more? Can Gavin commit?

 

Gavin is brilliant with Audree's little girl but does he wish she was his? Does Audree wish she was his? When will these two finally get their act together and tell eachother how they feel? Everyone around them has known for years the attraction radiating from them when they are in the same room but Audree doesn't know how Gavin feels.

 

Will Gavin finally pluck up the courage to tell her brother he loves his sister and he will take care of her and that beautiful little girl? Or will he continue expecting Audree to carry on with the arrangement?

 

I loved the story this book held! A beautiful love story... a typical country love. These guys didn't come to where they were easily or without hassle. They loved, lost, hurt, and ultimately broke eachother. All in all this book is well worth a read! Gavin and Audree were the main characters in this book but few others featured largely, it gave it a good feel from the different perspectives.
