Guest Review: Robin Cole

What does it take to rise from life’s depths, swim against the current, and breathe?Weighted down by the loss of her parents, Blythe McGuire struggles to keep her head above water as she trudges through her last year at Matthews College. Then a chance meeting sends Blythe crashing into something she doesn’t expect—an undeniable attraction to a dark-haired senior named Chris Shepherd, whose past may be even more complicated than her own. As their relationship deepens, Chris pulls Blythe out of the stupor she’s been in since the night a fire took half her family. She begins to heal, and even, haltingly, to love this guy who helps her find new paths to pleasure and self-discovery. But as Blythe moves into calmer waters, she realizes Chris is the one still strangled by his family’s traumatic history. As dark currents threaten to pull him under, Blythe may be the only person who can keep him from drowning.*This book is intended for mature audiences due to strong language and sexual content.Note: due to mature content recommended for Ages 17+

Robin's Review:

What to say? I am blown away from this book and I read Completely in 9 hrs and that was three days ago. I’m still coming down from my high, but while writing this review I feel it resurfacing. What emotions did my body and heart experience while reading this beautiful story? Despair, anger, laughter, Angst, Sadness, and Oh so much lust. (Purring Loudly).

The story starts out with Blythe (Awesomely Different Name) who’s fighting demons and losing. For years she isolates herself from everyone except Jack, Jim, and any other liquor that takes the pain away. Or so she thinks...

One day she makes the decision to try and stay sober and ends up meeting her salvation. But it comes in a family form that is fighting their own battles with darkness. But the journey is what added to my emotional roller coaster that made this so *EFFING AMAZING!!!* The cat and mouse game always gets me. I absolutely Love Christopher and Blythe’s relationship and building attraction as they play the game. But through their connection Blythe starts to heal and becomes better than her prior self, but soon realizes she needs to help Christopher as much and possible more than he help save her.

The story and visual Jessica Park writes and describes is Fan-F*#%tastic!!  The sex scenes are unbelievable and will have you either  A. Breaking out the vibrator or B. Having a Rowdy Sexcapade with partner in the Very near Future. Dear Lawd it was Frickin EXPLOSIVE ORGAMSMIC!!  I felt so Naughty and LIKED IT!  My hubby was sleeping soundly while I was in a heated debate with myself. Should I masturbate or wake him up? (I’ll let you wonder which I chose)

The sweet relationship Between everyone in this book is beautiful and you felt for ALL of them. Not just Blythe and Christopher. I hope there are more stories of these characters because I’ve fallen in LOVE with EVERY ONE OF THEM!  So Read this book and LOVE THEM TOO!  They really need it and you definitely WON’T regret it.
