Synopsis:

My name is Kendall Carrington—or so I thought.

One night, a routine traffic stop turned the world I thought I knew upside down. I wasn’t who I thought I was. No one was. I had been kidnapped when I was young, and everything I had been told was all a lie. But the lies didn’t end there. If it hadn’t been for Lincoln Hunt, I might not have ever found out the truth.

My real name is Danielle Tucker.

This is my story of pain, betrayal, and finding the true meaning of home.

Lisa's Review:

I adore this book!

Kendall grew up thinking she knew all about her life, until one night it gets flipped upside down.

Kendall's real name is Danielle and had been kidnapped when she was little. All she's known is the life with Billy. Now she is forced to live with her grandmother, Jeri, because it turns out that she's not 18 like she thought she was and she's not happy, but who would be?

As Kendall tries to navigate her new life, she meets Link. Link becomes something she has never had before, a best friend. He's there with her everyday and helps her make sense of her new life. Not only that, but he follows her on her journey to find out the truth about what happened so many years ago.

During their journey together, they never expected all of the bumps along the way and for their life to take a major turn.

I loved following Kendall along her journey of self discovery. She pissed me off at times, but I understood where she was coming from. She was scared and confused. Didn't know who to trust and wanted answers that no one could, or was willing, to give her.

Link was amazing. He was the push she needed in the right direction. He didn't leave her side through the whole journey and was her voice of reason. He was everything she needed and more.

I loved following Kendall down her road of self discovery. This book is a definitely a 5 star read and think everyone should read about Kendall's journey!

About the Author:

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
