It seems Kate Williams has it all; money, great job, a supportive family, and an amazing group of friends. What she lacks is the confidence and ability to make a good decision regarding the men in her life. After the worse break up yet, she runs into the arms of Ryan, her long time best friend and the one that seems to always mend all of her broken hearts. But after years of being "That" guy, he is ready to confess to her what he has felt all along. A night out with her friends brings a complete stranger into the mix. One encounter on the dance floor is all it took for him to flood her every thought. But Is he really a stranger after all or is he closer to her than she thinks?

Should Kate take the chance and chose her best friend, knowing he will cherish her forever? Or should she take a leap and go with the man that had her heart before she even knew his name? Someone’s heart will be broken, someone will lose everything they hold dear, and someone will tell the ultimate lie and destroy everything. Will fearing regret keep Kate away from what she really wants most?

DeAnna's Review:

*5 STARS*

*This book can be read as a standalone although I recommend reading Finding Solace first.

I absolutely loved Finding Solace and loved all the characters so I was so excited to read Fearing Regret. This is Kate and Tony’s story. If you read Finding Solace, you know that Kate is Asher’s sister and Tony is Asher’s wife, Sadie’s, ex.

Kate has had a few bad relationships leaving her afraid to take chances. She has amazing friends and family to support her, especially Ryan, who is her best friend and the one who she always runs to when things get crazy. The friendship line between these two begins to get blurry and while she’s dealing with the new feelings and emotions towards her best friend, a new hunk enters the picture. Tony. She ends up choosing Tony and that creates problems between her and Ryan because he really wants to be with her.

On top of that, Kate and Tony decided to keep their relationship a secret., which was probably not the best idea. So what happens? Let me just say you will not believe it! Once you start reading this, you will NOT be able to put it down.

Barbara once again did an amazing job! I love her writing style. She makes sure you will absolutely fall in love with her characters and maybe even be able to relate to them and their situations in some way. This is a very passionate story full of angst, sadness, heartbreak, and plenty of love. One thing that stood out above everything was the friendships among the characters. I highly recommend this book as well as Finding Solace.

About the Author:

I have a mad passion for books. It could be considered an addiction by some. After the responsibilities of work, being a mother and a wife are  fulfilled each day, I escape in a book. I never really thought of myself as a writer before. My true passion was as a reader. One day an idea came to me and I could not stop after that first thought. I hope you all will enjoy what I can bring you. I have plenty more ideas to go from here.
