This book exceeded my expectations. I have been looking for a new Paranormal Romance series to fall in love with and not succeeding, until now.

 

I absolutely loved this book. Jolie was a breath of fresh air. She is an eight hundred year old vampyre and when she loves, she loves hard. She is overly protective of her family and doesn't put up with anyone questioning her, except for one person, Jacques.

 

Jacques has been by her side as her guardian for the last five hundred years and has been in love with her for just as long. He has always protected her with his life and will stop at nothing to make sure she is safe, even pissing her off by questioning her choices at times.

 

There is a killer on the loose and Jolie has been asked to work on the case to help with profiling the person responsible for the death of the women turning up. Little do the detectives know, the killer is a vampyre.

 

When the detectives learn that they will be working with a behavioral specialist they aren't too happy, but when Jolie walks in, she is not what they expected, especially Flynn. He is captivated by her from the second he lays eyes on her, and not just because Jolie is hot.

 

Throughout the investigation, Jacques, Jolie, and Flynn get close and what happens during the investigation, and the revelations that are revealed, no one expected.

 

This book was HOT! But not only was it hot, it was a complete mystery, and kept me involved and entertained from start to finish.

 

I definitely give this book 5 stars and would highly recommend it!
