There hasn't been one book by Ella that I haven't liked, and this one is no exception!

 

Sloane is 21 and lives with her uncle Stephen and witch of a wife, Celine. Sloan is counting down the days till she turns 22, literally. In two weeks she turns 22 and gets her inheritance that's been locked away, but that's not all, she gets her life back.

 

Four years ago her father died and she was sentence to live a life of hell. Celine dressed her in clothes too big, causing her look like she belongs in a convent, and told people awful lies about Sloan which resulted in her to having no friends except for her amazing bestie, Demi.

 

The night of one of Celine's boring parties, her life drastically changes.

 

Killian, the man she's been in love with for forever, drags her away from the party. He tells her that he's bought her from Stephen, and it cost him a small fortune. She's to leave with him immediately and to do everything he tells her to, no questions asked.

I loved this book!!!

 

Killian is amazing. He's sexy and smart, but tries too hard to be a jerk to Sloan. As much as he tries to be a jerk, and succeeds, that's not who he is. Lies cause people to treat others poorly; to hide the good side of them, and let me tell you Killian is a sweetheart when his guards down.

 

Sloan is just as amazing. She's been dealt a crap hand. Lost her parents, the love of her life, and has been treated like crap for four years, but she hasn't let it bring her down. She looks to the future and can't wait to start her life and leave the past behind.

 

I love Sloan and Killian and kept hoping for an HEA, but I can't tell you what their future holds.
