Synopsis:

There has only ever been one book to make me cry, until now! This book is beyond words and is just amazing!  I can’t stress enough how much I LOVED this book!!!

 

We first meet Nicolette.  She is the typical pissed off teen that has been forced to move away from her friends and the rest of her family.  In her case, she moves from Chicago to California, which would be a nightmare for any teen.

 

She is forced to go to a work party for her parents. BUT this isn’t just ANY party, it’s a Hollywood party.And it's at this party she meets two guys who are complete opposites! One is a sweetheart and well, the other is an ass.

 

The first one she meets is the ass; otherwise known as, Michael. He’s arrogant and too cocky. He’s someone that doesn’t ever hear the word no!

 

Then while on the beach trying to escape from the ass, she meets Simon! Talk about SWOON WORTHY!!! He is such a sweetheart!!! He is just amazing from the start. You can see how taken he is by Nicolette and vice versa. They have this instant connection that you can’t help but notice.  Then their moment is ruined when Michael shows up, but they promise to see each other again.

 

Their promise is kept when they see each other at a beach party. Like before, the connection and the chemistry is amazing! They take a walk together and lose track of time getting to know each other. The weeks before school are spent in the same way.

 

School starts and Simon and Nicolette become inseparable, especially after Michael shows up one day at her school. He tries to get her to go out with him AGAIN, but like before, she turns him down, only this time she tells him that she is interested in someone else. This doesn't make him happy AT ALL!!! Like I said, he doesn’t like the word “no.”

 

Time passes and things are going good for Simon and Nicolette. The two of them are completely AMAZING together and you can see the love they hold for each other

 

Even though things are going good on the outside, things keep happening to Nicolette and she is keeping it from EVERYONE!!!!  These secrets that she is keeping cause something HORRIFIC and utterly HEARTBREAKING to happen.

 

This HORRIFIC event cause EVERYONE’S lives to be changed, forever.  Everyone struggles to cope with the tragic event in their own ways and in turn some people are pushed away.

 

Can Simon and Nicolette move past this tragedy or will they forever be torn apart?!

 

As I said before, I LOVED this book!!!!

 

Simon is AMAZING, SWEET, and would do ANYTHING for Nicolette!

 

Nicolette is such a sweetheart and has a heart of gold. She is very selfless and puts EVERYONE before herself. Her selflessness is what caused her to keep her secrets in the first place and in the end, it ends up being her downfall.  Throughout the book she does evolve into this strong, confident, loving, brave, and just an overall AMAZING woman!

 

As for Michael, there are only three words to fully describe him: FREAKING CRAZY PSYCHO!!!! Read and you will know EXACTLY what I mean!!

 

A Changed Life had me laughing, screaming “WTH!!!” and “CRAZY PSYCHO!!!” at the book and just overall freaking out.  This book also made me cry which isn’t an easy thing to do, LOL !!! I was so HEARTBROKEN over everything that Nicolette when through, that I couldn’t help the tears that streamed down my face.

 

This is TRULY and AMAZING book and goes to show how even after tragedy, there is light on the other side.

 

This book definitely has parts that aren’t for the feint of hearts, BUT is totally worth it and it’s honestly an amazing story!!!

 

I would WHOLE HEARTEDLY recommend this book and I give it 5 stars!!!!
